Layne Norton Qualifies for IPF World Championships

Layne Norton won the powerlifting nationals in 2014 and made it to World Championships where he finished with an overall silver medal. He set a world squat record & won a gold medal in the squat (added a silver in deadlift too). He also won nationals in 2015 but began accumulating injuries that took him out of the 2016 Worlds.

After a 7-year hiatus following an injury, Layne Norton has worked his way back into competition form when on June 19th he took 1st place in the 93kg, at the Powerlifting America National Championship. This win qualified him to compete in this year’s International Powerlifting Federation World Championships happening on October 11th.

Since then Layne has been steadily recovering and working his way back to the point where we are confident that he will put on a stellar performance. He was thrilled to win his qualification lifts on Father’s Day where his family and daughter were there to celebrate this special moment. His young daughter couldn’t have been more thrilled when she took the podium and helped claim her dad’s winning medal.

Now that Layne has qualified he is fully committed to doing what it takes to bring the medals back to Team Biolayne. He will be sharing his training journey the next few months sharing his science-based nutrition and training programs on YouTube and Instagram.
