Layne Norton 2022 IPF World Masters Powerlifting Championships

Taken from @powerlifting_america:

Congratulations to World Champion Layne Norton @biolayne on his 3 medal performance at the 2022 Masters World Championships! Layne gave everything he had this prep and capped it off with a masterful, comeback and upset performance at worlds. He went 7/9 totaling 742.5kg/1636lb with expert handling from @benesgro to knock off the first place nominated favorite from Mexico. Layne’s 272.5kg squat is a post-injury PR and 12.5kg more than he did at nationals. He also added 5kg to his bench and 12.5kg to his deadlift since nats. Layne has fought back from injuries to make it back to Worlds for the first time since 2015. He’s a had a major influence on the sport of powerlifting and fitness/nutrition more broadly and now he can add World Champion to his resume. We could not be more proud that Layne is on our team representing the USA on the biggest stage in powerlifting. Thank you Layne and way to go champ!
